Who we are
This website is operated by Daya Advisory Sdn. Bhd. (“Daya Advisory”, “we”), an independent strategic advisory firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, Daya Advisory is the data user responsible for the personal data described in this notice. We can be reached at dayana@dayaadvisory.com.
What is collected, and how
This is a static website. It has no forms, accounts or comment facilities, and it sets no cookies. It does not collect or store personal data on its own behalf. Two things are nonetheless worth stating plainly.
Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those files from Google's servers, which discloses your IP address and routine technical details, such as browser type, to Google. We do not receive this information; Google's handling of it is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Email. If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to send — ordinarily your name, email address and the contents of your message. This is the only personal data we collect through this site.
Purpose
Personal data in your correspondence is used to respond to you, to consider and conduct a possible advisory relationship, and to keep an accurate record of what has been discussed. It is not used for marketing and is not added to any mailing list.
Retention
Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed for the relationship it concerns, and afterwards only where a legal, regulatory or professional obligation requires it. It is then deleted.
Disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. Personal data is disclosed only where a professional obligation requires it — for example, where a matter is referred, with your knowledge, to a licensed professional — or where the law compels it.
Cross-border storage
Our email is hosted by a commercial provider whose servers may be located outside Malaysia. Correspondence you send us may therefore be stored outside the country, subject to that provider's safeguards.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and withdraw your consent to further processing. Write to dayana@dayaadvisory.com. We will respond within the timeframes the Act sets, and may first ask you to verify your identity.
